(1c) on homework #7 should read

1c. A 1972 study looked a set of linguistic variables in the English of random sample of 60 Norwich speakers, and later in 1988 the same researcher looked at the same set of linguistic variables in the English of a different sample of 19 Norwich speakers and compared the data from 1972 with the data from 1988.

The question has been corrected on the posted version of the homework.
