Moving On-Line Updated

Post date: Mar 13, 2020 6:30:11 PM

Starting now the class is moving on line (like all WSU classes) for the rest of the spring 2020 semester.

How does that affect the structure of the class?

    • The grading will remain roughly the same--homework, quizzes, and take-home final will remain mostly the same. The final project will be replaced entirely by the research proposal..

    • The structure of the class meetings will change:

      • You are required to watch and take notes on the video lectures posted by Monday of each week on the recordings page along completing with the reading assignments

      • You are required attend via Zoom one discussion session per week from 10:10 to 11 a.m. on either Wednesday or Friday.

        • You may attend both, but you don't have to.

        • The Zoom sessions will be recorded and posted on the recordings page.

        • You will need to ask one question about the readings or lectures at each Zoom discussion session that you attend.

        • We want these meetings to be a discussion, not a lecture by me, so come prepared to talk (or write in the chat facility if you prefer).

    • Office hours will be on Monday at 10:10-11am and by appointment via Zoom. If you want to talk to me, e-mail me and we'll find a time!

Remember to check your WSU e-mail and this website at least once a day.
